Cheryl Robinson is Unifor’s Aviation Industry Council Chair. Cheryl joined CAW, one of the founding unions of Unifor, in 1998 when she began as a customer service agent with Air Canada, in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Cheryl has held a number of union positions, including Local 2002 women’s committee chair, workplace representative in 2003, national discussion leader, an EAP coordinator, Atlantic Region vice-president, and President of Unifor 2002, the second largest Local in Unifor.
Cheryl was also chair of the CAW Council Women’s Committee, vice-president on the New Brunswick Federation of Labour executive council and has been financial secretary and second vice-president of the Saint John and District Labour Council.
Cheryl was a Canadian Labour Congress delegate to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in 2012 and 2013. Cheryl has been active on all union campaigns, particularly those addressing women’s equality.
