Building Activism (1 day course)

Stuck in a rut and looking for some new and creative ways to approach activist work? Just beginning as an activist and want to get some ideas on how to organize around issues? Want to inspire members to become involved or take on leadership roles?  Feel like you could use some tips for making meetings more effective? Interested in becoming more strategic when organizing around workplace and community issues?

If these questions speak to you then this course is just what you are looking for. Working with concrete tools for strategic planning, effective communication, and building leadership participants will explore new ways of approaching their work as activists. Examples of campaigns and actions will be used to explore how the use of planning, creativity and effective communication contribute to our success as activists and ultimately to the strengthening of our union.
