Luke, Warehouse Employee, Moncton

Today we have a collective agreement that clearly outlines our wages, benefits and working conditions. There's no more uncertainty.

After numerous attempts to organize our workplace in the past, Unifor (then CAW) gave us the tools and ability to overcome the culture of fear and anti-union sentiment that had built up over time.

Our warehouse was suffering from poor morale. Workers felt disrespected. All other warehouses our particular supermarket chain were unionized, except for ours, and we had enough with being treated unfairly.

Today we have a collective agreement that clearly outlines our wages, benefits and working conditions. There’s no more uncertainty.  And through the process of collective bargaining, we have gained a renewed respect from management. There is a true sense of fellowship, solidarity and empowerment among our co-workers.
