KELOWNA—Unifor Local 2002 members working at Flair Air have successfully achieved their first collective agreement after a vote on July 5.

“Unifor is a union for the airline industry,” said Jerry Dias, Unifor National President. “Flair Air pilots work extremely hard and they have earned a fair contract.”

The three-year agreement includes improvements in hours of work, guaranteed days off, overtime rates and wage increases.  It also includes employer contributions to Unifor’s Paid Education Leave and Social Justice Fund.

The new contract and resulting wage increases will be applied retroactively to June 15, 2018. The 55 pilots at Flair Airlines joined Unifor Local 2002 in February 2017.
