Every day thousands of workers in Canada are injured or become sick from the job. Unifor works hard to implement safe work processes to limit workplace injuries and illnesses. When injuries and illnesses do occur our members need advocates to assist them with the compensation process. This course is an introductory program designed for Ontario members who are new to the field of workers’ compensation. By providing a thorough understanding of the system (and its shortcomings), we want to develop the skills and knowledge to represent injured workers in the initial stages of a claim.
