CALGARY—A new tentative collective agreement has been reached between Unifor Local 101R and Canadian Pacific.

“This bargaining committee did not have an easy job and I am proud that they were able to push for significant gains in a deal that they can now recommend to the membership,” said Jerry Dias,

Unifor National President. Unifor Local 101R represents 1200 workers from British Columbia to Quebec, they service locomotives and freight cars, and produce track and freight car/locomotive components.

“We have worked very hard to get to this point and look forward to presenting the details of this agreement to our members across Canada,” said Joel Kennedy, President of Local 101R.

No details of the tentative agreement will be released publicly until the agreement is presented in to members in a series of ratification meetings to all units.
