On January 17 members of Unifor Local 866-O voted 100% in favour of a new three-year contract with Linde Canada.
The new collective agreement includes annual wage increases of 4.25%, 4.00%, and 3.75%. It also improves bereavement benefits, adds three vacation days, and a signing bonus.
Unit Chair Randy Wilson says the committee was successful at resisting concessions in the agreement: "The bargaining committee knew members would not accept anything that took us backwards. The final contract was a strong reflection of what Local 866-O members deserve.”
Unifor represents plant technicians and industrial millwrights at the plant, which produces nitrogen in Sarnia.
